Definitions

EVALUATION

Process of reviewing conformity with the requirements of a standard, applicable to both inspection and certification of products, services or management systems.

CLAIM

It is the action taken by the applicant of an evaluation or by a third party involved, by which they express their disagreement with ACERTA's methods of action, or those of the persons or subcontractors of the entity, in any aspect related to the evaluation process.

APPEAL

It is the action taken by the applicant of an evaluation by which he/she expresses his/her disagreement with the decision taken by ACERTA regarding the result of the evaluation. It may affect the non-granting of a certificate or its scope, its suspension or cancellation.

LITIGIO

It is the discussion established by judicial or extrajudicial means between ACERTA and the applicants, certificate holders or former certificate holders, regarding a disagreement in the resolution of appeals, or for other causes that exceed the entity's capacity to resolve them.

FAIRNESS COMMITTEE

It is the committee formed by representatives of the parties involved in the product certification or quality systems, as appropriate, in charge of supervising ACERTA's activity from the point of view of the impartiality of its decisions. In addition, within the scope of this procedure, it is responsible for the study of cases and the issuance of opinions or decisions relating to appeals processes when they cannot be carried out by the general management of the entity.

INTEGRITY COMMITTEE

It is a body made up of people from ACERTA's senior management, not linked to the evaluation processes, with the capacity to oblige the rest of the organization to assume its resolutions. Its competencies are basically oriented to decide on situations in which the integrity of the entity may be at risk.
