Alignment with the SDGs

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) constitute the primary international framework for sustainability management, established by the United Nations as part of the 2030 Agenda.

The process of validating and verifying projects with the SDGs carried out by ACERTA consists of verifying this alignment through two phases: an initial validation, which reviews whether the project’s approach—identified SDGs, objectives, actions, and indicators—is coherent and appropriate; and a subsequent verification, which verifies actual and the impact achieved by the project. The entire process is based on an Alignment Report provided by an organization that evolves alongside the project.

Independent validation and verification build credibility and earn the trust of stakeholders.

An organization may choose to carry out either one phase or both, depending on the status of its project.
