One year after its launch, the brand is now in compliance with Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/2, which requires companies to report on the volume and destination of discarded products.
ACERTA reinforces its CONFICERT Food Waste Saver certification, which allows food companies to transparently demonstrate their commitment to the Food Waste Law and to the new European regulation, which becomes mandatory on March 2, 2027.
The regulation requires large companies—and, starting in 2030, medium-sized companies as well—to report annually on the amount of products discarded, the reasons for their disposal, and their final destination (recycling, recovery, or disposal).
Its impact will be particularly significant in the food sector, where this requirement will help raise awareness of food waste and reduce it.
