ACERTA continues to increase its certification activity at GLOBALG.A.P. Aquaculture despite the pandemic

LThe global pandemic of COVID19 has forced harsh restrictions on the mobility of the general population in all countries, and this has been a serious handicap for the certification bodies that carry out an important part of their audit work in the field. international. In this complicated context, ACERTA’s Aquaculture Department has managed not only to maintain but also increase its certification activity nationally and internationally.

In Spain we have been able to continue serving aquaculture producers through face-to-face audits, applying in all cases a strict protocol of anti-COVID19 security measures. In the case of international operations, due to the more severe travel restrictions, we have continued to serve previously certified producers, thanks to having been able to apply in some cases the remote audit procedure developed by GLOBALG.A.P. In the cases of new certification requests, we have chosen to streamline the review processes prior to the audits, leaving everything ready and planned to be able to carry out on-site evaluations as soon as the situation allows.

Thanks to the joint work with the producers, during this last year we have been able to certify several national clients, some of the relevance of Grupo Andrómeda Ibérica Acuicultura, and we have been able to attend the certification processes of all our international clients, located in countries such as Portugal, France, Honduras, Nicaragua and South Africa.

In this way, ACERTA continues its consolidation process as one of the benchmark options in agri-food certification at a national and international level, always maintaining the values ​​that characterize us: technical quality of service, versatility and a marked customer orientation.
